Dear Jackie Robinson West,
Here are a few things I want you to remember…
The strength of a group is in the integrity of the leaders. This is about them. You did nothing to cause or deserve this.
Nope, you are no longer the 2014 Little League World Series Champions but for 173 days you were. You will forever be kick ass people for that.
Remember to always show class, have pride, and display character. ALWAYS play by the rules and play fair. If you do, winning takes care of itself. Not just on the field but in life too.
All of your actions have consequences. You have to understand that, and you have to be aware of it while making your decisions.
You are resilient and resilient people don’t give in to anger when faced with a setback. Instead, they tap into a greater purpose to bounce back stronger than ever.
Frustrating situations, failures, and tragedies are inevitable parts of life, and you must able to get over those things in order to do even greater things.
Have no regrets in life. Just lessons learned. No time is ever wasted if you learned something.
Now, just smile, wave, wish the other team well, and move on. Believe me. You’ll be happier.
Love you. Mean it.
